Enisey Got Off to a Winning Start in the New Season. Game Recap and Highlights

Krasnoyarsk’s Enisey defeated Samara at home, 91–70 (25–20, 14–16, 30–14, 22–20).

Main Story
The game began with effective offense and high-scoring basketball from both sides. Already in the first quarter, five Enisey players hit three-pointers. Danila Pokhodyaev kept the visitors in the game (3-for-4 from beyond the arc). In the second quarter, the visitors went on a run to tie the score. The pace slowed, and the game turned into a tight contest. During this stretch, Samara grabbed 9 more rebounds, but a drop in shooting accuracy (1-for-10 from three-point range in the quarter) and a poor turnover ratio (6-0) still left them trailing at halftime.

The Clutch Moment
The visitors’ defense could no longer contain the home team in the second half. Enisey scored 30 points in 10 minutes and entered the final stretch with a comfortable lead. The trio of foreign players combined for 38 points, allowing the Krasnoyarsk team to comfortably close out the game with their first victory of the season.

X-Factor
High accuracy on long-range shots allowed the home team to stay ahead throughout the game. In the end, Enisey made 16 of 25 (45.7%) three-point attempts. Samara made 9 of 30 (30%).

Interesting Fact
Danila Pokhodyaev tied his personal scoring record with 22 points.
Enisey improved its head-to-head record against Samara to 11-4. Samara’s last victory came in 2024.

Press Conference
Enisey Head Coach Jovica Arsić:
– First and foremost, I want to thank our most loyal fans who came out today to support us. In the first half of the game, we lacked energy; we lost the rebounding battle and allowed Samara to score easy points.
After halftime, we played more aggressively on defense, began to dominate the boards, and that proved to be the deciding factor. When we’re able to score on fast breaks, it becomes easier to attack, and the team gains confidence—the players start to play differently.
I’m very pleased with the win, but we’re still far from reaching our full potential. I hope we’ll look better and better with every game.

Samara Head Coach Miloš Pavičević:
– Congratulations to Enisey on the win! They were the better team today: they committed only two turnovers and shot at a very high percentage. It’s very tough to play against a team like that.
