Dynamo’s First “Hundred Piece” in a Victory in Krasnoyarsk. Game Recap and Highlights

Vladivostok’s Dynamo defeated Krasnoyarsk’s Enisey on the road, 111–97 (23–26, 31–21, 33–22, 24–28).

Main Story
The game began as a closely contested match—the lead changed hands 10 times in the opening quarter. The visitors looked more confident on the boards, grabbing 6 offensive rebounds. Enisey responded with high efficiency in finishing their attacks, making 69.2% of their field goal attempts.

In the second quarter, Krasnoyarsk’s defense struggled to contain their opponents, and Dynamo pulled ahead. A string of accurate three-pointers also helped the visitors.

Three of the four foreign players in the starting lineup reached the 10-point mark by halftime. Charles Callison’s first basket helped the home team avoid falling behind by double digits at halftime.

The Clutch Moment
Enisey was unable to change the course of the game after the break. The visitors continued to pick up the pace and hit shots from beyond the arc. Dynamo’s first 100-point game in the VTB League was already secured midway through the final quarter. The team earned its third victory and sits in seventh place in the league standings.

X-Factor: The visitors made 20 of 35 three-point attempts. That’s the second-best mark of the current season.

Interesting Facts

Artem Shlegel also scored 14 points, setting a personal best.

Press Conference:

Enisey Head Coach Jovica Arsić: “It’s very disappointing. I don’t understand how it’s possible to play in front of our fans and show so little energy.” In the second half, we gave up more than 50 points and committed only six fouls. This points to our defense being too soft, which allowed our opponent to do whatever they wanted on offense and easily convert their isolation plays. When the lead reached ten points, our opponent started making incredible shots and gained confidence. But the main problem is still our soft defense: we’re the ones who let them get into that rhythm. After our recent games, in which we had chances to win, it’s clear that the team lacks mental toughness. On offense, the players lacked the patience to capitalize on the advantage we should have had under the basket. We moved the ball quickly enough, but at the same time tried to match our opponent’s pace. That approach couldn’t have led to anything good.”

Dynamo Head Coach Sergei Kozin:
– We did a good job. I’m very happy with the win in Krasnoyarsk. Enisey looked strong in their last two games: they lost to Zenit on the road in overtime, and they came close to winning against MBA. We knew we were in for a tough battle, so we carefully analyzed our opponent’s play. I’m glad we managed to secure the win, because Enisey is playing some very high-quality basketball.
It’s always easier to win when the team shoots at that percentage. Today we made 23 three-pointers, but that’s no fluke. From the very first practice, I’ve been telling the guys that we need to play fast and make aggressive use of long-range shots. Today our leaders performed excellently on offense, and the team scored 100 points for the first time this season. Offensive rebounding played a very important role: at key moments, we were able to grab the ball and score easy points. I congratulate my team on the victory, but we already need to start preparing for our next games.”
