Lokomotiv Kuban forward DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell was named VTB United League MVP of November.

Akoon-Purcell recovered from injury and helped Loko gain momentum after a poor start. He averaged 19.2 points on 53.8% shooting in November. The American forward also averaged 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists for 20.5 points.
He became the 3rd best scoring player of November with 19.2 points per game
– I’m grateful to the VTB United League. I didn’t expect it. To be honest, I didn’t think about it. We have other things on our minds right now: we have to win every next game, because the schedule is even tighter now – we’ve only played one team, and we have to study the next one.
Have I won such awards before? I think it happened a couple times in Danmark. But that’s not why I play basketball. Winning is the most important thing for me. But it’s nice to win an award, too.
