Game progress
The Army team started the game almost without a swing, throwing Minsk team rim with long-range shots. After another accurate three-point shot by Alexey Shved, the guests achieved a double-digit difference — 21: 11. The CSKA defense kept the Dragons on starvation ration, which allowed the CSKA players to increase the advantage without any problems, and already in the first quarter CSKA gap exceeded “+20 ” – 33:11.

Already at the start of the second quarter, Joel Bolomboy and Andrey Lopatin scored accurate shots from behind the arc, but tsmokiscoring drought continued. Only in the middle of the quarter, Robert Upshaw was able to score Dragons’ points in this 10-minutes with a spectacular dunk. And although the Army team also did not differ in high performance, 13 points scored in a quarter were enough to practically solve the question of the winner after the first half — 46:17.

The red and blue spent the third quarter as powerful as the first. The game segment began with a 9-point streak from Nikola Milutinov, then Tornike Shengelia with his shots. CSKA continued to build up the gap and only in the end slowed down, stopping a few steps from the first hundred of the season.

Hero
Nikola Milutinov. The Serbian center spent less than 15 minutes on the floor and during this time managed to make a double-double, scored the most (14 points) and became the most effective (25 points) player of the game.

Numbers
7 CSKA players scored 10 or more points in the protocol. Only Vadzim Stubeda was able to cross the double-digit in Tsmoki.

Comments
Rostislav Vergun, Tsmoki-Minsk Head Coach:
– CSKA at the beginning of the season is the best indicator of what kind your team is. Today’s game clearly showed what we are worth at this moment of the season. It’s hard for me to blame the guys who found themselves in such a situation for the first time, but I expected much more leadership qualities from experienced players, much more desire to take responsibility for the result on themselves. Of course, we should apologize to the fans for the game that we showed and which led to such a result.

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA Head Coach:
– We were very serious, so I congratulate the team. We played with the expected concentration and huge motivation. We respect the game, the League and ourselves, so we did not slow down and played not only for the score, but also for ourselves. I was not satisfied with 7 turnovers in the first half and 6 more in the last quarter. It cost us a decrease in the shots accuracy and combinations effectiveness. But in general, I’m happy, we were focused, changed a couple of defensive schemes, and we managed to keep a good throwing team at a very low level of implementation.
