CSKA finished the regular season in the 1st place with 30 wins in 32 games. In the Quarterfinals, the team defeated Avtodor 3-0 (103-68, 111-85, 76-67). In the Semifinals CSKA lost to Lokomotiv Kuban 3-4 (87-84, 83-84, 81-84, 79-73, 68-85, 98-75, 100-103 OT). In the 3rd Place Series Emil Raikovic team beat Zenit 4-1 (68-86, 85-61, 71-60, 77-72, 82-79).
The 3rd Place Series took place for the second time in the United League history. In the 2021/22 season, UNICS became the bronze medalist.
