The League Directorate has decided that the CSKA – VEF quarterfinal series will open in Liepaja, Latvia, due to a scheduling conflict with the arena in Riga.
On May 24, CSKA will play VEF on the road before hosting Games 2 and 3 on May 27 and 29 at its home arena in Moscow.
League general director Ilona Korstin:
– The VTB League Playoffs begin on May 23 with games in Kazan and Krasnodar. UNICS hosts Nizhny Novgorod and Lokomotiv-Kuban plays Khimki. On the following day, May 24, Zenit will face Avtodor in St. Petersburg. The CSKA – VEF series also begins on May 24, but due to a decision of the League Directorate, the series will open in Liepaja, Latvia due to a scheduling conflict with VEF’s primary arena in Riga.
