The game started better for the hosts. Dmitriy Uzinsky and Aleksandr Shcherbenev actions led to a discouraging starting 10:1 run. Alexey Shved scored the only point for the Army team in three minutes. The Krasnodar team got good defense and CSKA’s attempts to score did not lead to anything. Only at the end of the first quarter, Dallas Moore and Livio Jean-Charles helped to get a 5-0 run, but then Zakhar Vedishchev gave out a shock ending, putting two threes in a row. The starting 10 minutes ended with a comfortable 8 points lead for Loko— 22:14.
The beginning of the second quarter showed that it was too early for the hosts to relax. Anton Astapkovich and Dallas Moore started to help teh team. CSKA shooters finally found the rhythm, scoring from behind the arc and Samson Ruzhentsev and-one allowed CSKA to take the lead for the first time in the game – 30:29. Until the end of the first half, CSKA had the status of the leader, leaving for a halftime with a minimal lead — 38:36.
The second half started again with a swing, but it didn’t last long. The Army team used Nikola Milutinov in the paint a lot, CSKA began to increlast quarter, Dejan Davidovac scred two three-pointers and took away the Krasnodar team opportunity to win— 66:51.
CSKA did not slow down and eventually the lead was 20 points and remained on the scoreboard until the end of the game. CSKA wins its third game and continues to share the lead with UNICS and the League newcomer MBA.
