CSKA reached positive record (3-2) only in the last game against Zielona Gora. Avtodor’s case was worse as the team had 0 wins (0-3). The fight was intense in the first period. Saratov had nice 5 minutes after the tip-off (13:9), but couldn’t increase the lead due to numerous turnovers (7). Big men duo Johannes Voigtmann – Joel Bolomboy helped CSKA win the first period (18:16). The army club inreased the lead in the second quarter as the yellow-blues – led by Darrun Hilliard – started with a 10:3 run and built a comfortable lead of 8-10 points. Elgin Cook was the star of Avtodor (13 points), but only 2 assists, 12 turnovers and 32% FG didn’t let them chase the rivals. 46:32 by the break.
