UNICS Kazan forward Mario Hezonja played 28 games in the 2021/22 season and was in the starting lineup in each of them. Hezonja became the best in UNICS in points (18.5), rebounds (7.5) and steals (2.0).
Following the results of the regular season, the Croatian forward became the MVP of the 21/22 United League season.
