Turning Point
Behind a monster night from Frank Elegar, Enisey won the 2nd quarter by nine points and led for much of the 2nd half.
Saratov finally caught Krasnoyarsk midway through the 4th quarter, pushing the tempo on offense with Nick Minnerath and Vince Hunter doing most of the scoring.
The hard-fought finish also belonged to the home team. Josh Adams’s first point of the game and the season put the White-Blacks on top (86-85). After Hunter and Enisey’s Tony Taylor traded baskets, Sergey Bykov helped put the game away for Avtodor.
The veteran guard hit two of three free throws after getting fouled on the perimeter, and made several crucial plays, including a block on Taylor and a big offensive board.
With the victory, Avtodor improves to 4-8, half a game behind Enisey for the final playoff spot.
