VTB United League club Astana has won the Kazakh championship.
Led by head coach Mikhail Karpenko, Astana took down rival Barsy Atyrau in the final series, 3-0 (92-69, 96-79, 80-54). Astana is a six-time Kazakh champion.
Astana’s Anatoly Kolesnikov was named to the All-League team as the best small forward.

We are champions. We are the best team in Kazakhstan and proved it once again. The season isn’t over yet. We continue to play in the VTB League and as long as we have a chance, we’ll battle for the playoffs until the end.
