Kazakhstan’s VTB United League team Astana has announced a new logo.
“The new identity holds important symbols and meanings. The frame of the logo is the letter “A”, the name of the team begins with it. Motifs of Kazakh ornament are added into the emblem. So the new identity of Astana preserves the memory of national identity remaining stylish in a modern way.
The logo resembles a flying bird. This is not for nothing because the image of the sacred bird Samruk is very important for the appearance of the team and the capital of Kazakhstan.
A noticeable part of the logo is an arrow pointing upwards. Moving up is one of the most important qualities in sports because only striving for the top can you win and become better,” the Kazakhteam described its new logo.
