Nizhny Novgorod signed Anton Ponkrashov. The agreement with the 36-year-old point guard is for the 2022/23 season.
Anton Ponkrashov played in the United League for CSKA, Krasnye Krylia, Loko, Krasny Oktyabr, UNICS, Zenit and Khimki. Nizhny Novgorod will become the 8th VTB League team in the his career, which is the League record.
Ponkrashov spent the 2021/22 season in Iran as part of the Nazm Avaran. In 26 games, he averaged 16.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 6 assists.
