Zenit General Manager Aleksandr Tserkovny said that Alexey Shved signing is not in the club’s plans, noting that the St. Petersburg team has already been formed.
«Does our club have any interest in Alexey Shved? I can say that at the moment our backcourt is full. We are not negotiating with anyone and do not plan to sign anyone».
According to Tserkovny, the St. Petersburg team guard Denis Zakharov is finishing the recovery process after a serious knee injury and should be back by the start of the season.
«Zakharov is finishing the recovery process, but the injury does not yet allow him to train with a full load.
Everything is going according to plan, he has a training programme. We hope that he will return by the United League season start. Everything will depend on his condition.
We are not in favour of forcing recovery and putting the player at risk. When we are sure that Zakharov is fully ready, we will immediately put him into the roster,» Tserkovsky said.
