56 VTB League players were invited to the national teams for qualifying games

The 2023 World Cup qualification matches will be played on November 25 – 29. 52 League’s basketball players and 4 coaches have been invited to their National Teams.

The expanded Russian National Team consists of 18 players of the League: head coach Zoran Lukic, Ivan Strebkov, Anton Astapkovich, Sergey Toropov, Aleksandr Gankevich (all – Nizhny Novgorod), Stanislav Ilnitsky, Vladislav Emchenko, Andrey Martyuk (all – Lokomotiv Kuban), Georgy Zhbanov, Viacheslav Zaitsev, Artem Komolov, Evgeny Valiev (all – UNICS), Semen Antonov, Vladimir Ivlev, Alexander Khomenko (all – CSKA) , Igor Volkhin, Andrey Zubkov, Dmitry Kulagin (all – Zenit). The Russian National Team will play 2 games in St. Petersburg against Italy (November 26) and Iceland (November 29).

Avtodor guards Kenny Chery and Philip Scrubb have joined the Canadian national team, which is expected to meet with the Bahamas national team on November 28 and 29.

4 basketball players of the League have been called up to the Polish national team – Marcel Ponitka (PARMA-PARIMATCH), Mateusz Ponitka (Zenit), Jaroslaw Ziskowski and Andy Mazursczak (both Zielona Gora). The Polish national team will play Israel on November 25, and Germany on November 28.

A large representation of the United League in the Belarusian national team: Artsiyom Parakhouski (PARMA), Aliaksei Trastsinetski, Andrei Stabrouski, Vadzim Stubeda, Benjamin-Pavel Dodoo, Maksim Karattsou, Tsimafei Paraliou, Yauheni Beliankou, Darol Hernanes-Zinenko, Uladzislau Bliznyuk and head coach Rostislav Vergun (all – Tsmoki-Minsk) were called up for the games against Turkey (November 25) and Greece (November 28).

Kazakhstan National Team was headed by Astana head coach Darko Russo. He got 9 basketball players from the Nur-Sultan team to games against Syria (November 26 and 29) – these are Rustam Murzagaliyev, Nikolay Bazhin, Robert Pan, Dmitriy Gavrilov, Maxim Marchuk, Vadim Chsherbak, Ruslan Aitkali, Andrey Litvinenko, Oleg Balashov.

Mindaugas Kuzminskas (Zenit) and Eigirdas Zhukauskas (PARMA) have been called up to the Lithuanian National Team, which is led by Kazys Maksvytis (PARMA). In their shedule – games against Bulgaria (November 26) and the Czech Republic (November 29).

Rauno Nurger, Kristjan Kitsing, Kregor Hermet and Martin Dorbek (all Kalev) will help the Estonian National Team against Germany (November 25) and Israel (November 28).

CSKA forward Johannes Voigtmann got an invitation to join the German National Team against Estonia (November 25) and Poland (November 28).

In the extended list of the Georgian National Team for the games against Ukraine (November 26) and Spain (November 29) – Tornike Shengelia (CSKA).

Latvian National Team will face Serbia (November 25) and Slovakia (November 29), and Mareks Mejeris (PARMA-PARIMATCH) was invited.

Finally, Dragan Apic (Zielona Gora) will help the Serbian national team against Latvia (November 25) and Belgium (November 28).
