The VTB United League playoffs revealed the top three tams and the final ranking of the Russian championship for the 2020/21 season.
Recall that the rights to host the national championship, according to the agreement with the Russian Basketball Federation (RFB), belongs to the VTB United League.
CSKA won the title of Russian champion for the 18th time in a row and for the 27th time in its history. Second place and silver went to UNICS Kazan. Zenit finished third, earning bronze medals (remember, the club from St. Petersburg bested Lokomotiv-Kuban, another semifinalist, in the final standings thanks to their regular-season best record).
From 4th to 9th places in the 2020/21 Russian Championship according to the results of the VTB United League season ended, respectively: Lokomotiv-Kuban, Nizhny Novgorod, Khimki, PARMA, Avtodor and Enisey.
