The 8th VTB United League season came to a close on Tuesday as CSKA Moscow picked up a 6th-consecutive title, defeating Khimki Moscow Region 3-0 in the Finals.
As we look back on the 2017 postseason, here are some of the juiciest stats and tidbits from the competition:
– A team erased an 0-2 series deficit for only the second time in League history. CSKA did it for the first time in 2014, storming back from an 0-2 hole against Lokomotiv-Kuban in the quarterfinals. This season, Khimki stunned Zenit, winning three straight, including Game 5 in St. Petersburg, to advance to the finals.
– A team posted a perfect record in the postseason for only the second time: 9-0. The Army Men also went undefeated in 2015.
– Nando De Colo became the 3rd player after Andrei Kirilenko and Victor Khryapa to win a regular season and playoff MVP.
– 4 double-doubles: A new playoff record set by Alexey Shved.
– The Zenit – Khimki series was the 6th in League history to go 5 games.

– 78.5% (471 minutes out of 600): Amount of playing time for Khimki’s Russian players. That’s a new VTB United League.
– 274 points: A new scoring record in the playoffs, set by Alexey Shved.
– 5,690 people: St. Petersburg set a new city record for attendance in the playoffs. The historic number came in Game 5 of the semifinal series with Khimki.
