CSKA perennial captain Viktor Khryapa became the first VTB United League regular season MVP, and also one of three (together with Andrei Kirilenko and Nando de Colo) League players to win both regular season MVP and playoffs MVP. In 2017 Khryapa was selected to the first VTB United League All-Star Game, and in 2018 he retired.
