From the very first minutes, the game was equal. In the opening minutes, the guests looked a little more confident with Evgeny Minchenko aggressive game. But Garrett Nevels and Aleksandr Zakharov came off the bench and revitalized the hosts offense, which helped to get slight lead after first quarter – 21:19.
The second quarter was also tough. The Moscow team managed to tie the score twice. But the rest of the time PARMA held the lead. Nevels scored 15 points in the quarter. His three-pointer helped to secure a 5-point lead by halftime – 42:37.
Key moment
At the start of the third quarter, PARMA scored several shots from the paint. After Dmitry Cheburkin made shot, the Perm team lead became double-digit for the first time in the game – 51:41. The Moscow team was unable to get the initiative. In the second half, other internationals got involved in addition to Nevels performance. In the middle of the final quarter, Royce Hamm brought the Perm team lead to 19 points – 80:61.
