From the very first minutes, the hosts took the initiative. Aggressive defense and DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell allowed the Kazan team to take an easy lead. After Andrey Lopatin three-pointer the lead was increased to 13 points midway through the opening quarter – 16:3.
The guests were able to shake up the offense with substitutions, but this had only a short-term effect. UNICS looked clearly stronger than the opponent. The second quarter started with a 9-point run by the Kazan team, after which the lead became 20+ points – 40:17. The guests tried to put up a fight, but UNICS kept a comfortable lead. Key moment
The Krasnoyarsk team still managed to add an intrigue after the halftime. Victor Sanders scored 15 points and made UNICS coaching staff nervous. After Timofei Gerasimov three-pointer, the guests cut the deficit to 14 points – 53:79.
