Zenit center Vince Hunter was named the Defensive Player of the Year in the 2023/24 season.
Hunter played in 36 games in the regular season, averaging 13.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.7 blocks. The bigman was 6th in the League in steals (1.6), and the St. Petersburg team was 1st in defense, allowing opponents to score 75.1 points per game.
Hunter became the second Zenit player in League history to win the award (Jordan Mickey received the award in the 2021/22 season).
