Uralmash center Octavius Ellis was named VTB United League MVP of March.

Uralmash had 6 wins and 1 loss in the sixth month of the regular season (wins over Runa, Astana, Avtodor, MINSK and twice over Samara), and the 1st place in the Group B standings with a total 22 wins and 14 losses. The newcomer has secured a play-in spot.
In March, Ellis averaged 18.5 points on 68% field goal shots made, 6.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists for a 28.0 eff. points (Octavius ranked first in the entire League in efficiency with 25.5 on average). In the game against Samara, the bigman repeated his VTB League career-high 31 points.
– I want to thank God, my coaches, teammates for helping me win the MVP of March. Last month was full of key games that we had to win to guarantee our participation in the play-in. We had to come out and play the best we could. And we did a lot of things – Ellis said.
