Uralmash: By defeating Samara, the team extended the winning streak to 7 games. Moreover, Rostislav Vergun team hasn’t lost at home for the same 7 games, having last lost at home back in December. In the game against Samara, Uralmash showed a lot of resilience – it’s very rare for a team to win after losing rebounding battle 17:41. However, Stanley Whittaker and Octavius Ellis duo (40 points combined) left no chance for Samara. Uralmash is the favorite against the Moscow team: although the Yekaterinburg team just debuted in the League this season, but has already defeated MBA 3 times.
MBA: After 2 losses to Samara and Avtodor, MBA managed to slightly improve in the standings with a win over MINSK. Only at the very beginning of the game, the Belarussian team gave Vasily Karasev team problems – later on MBA confidently led throughout the game. Still, the Moscow team problems didn’t disappear. The main one is weak offense. MBA managed to score only 73 points versus MINSK. The last time the team made more than 80 points in early February against Uralmash. However, Uralmash offense was even stronger with 96 points. Daniil Kasatkin is now on fire and has clearly had a good March – the guard has scored over 20 points in 3 consecutive games. However, his teammates are not giving Kasatkin the support he needs to find his game.
