On Monday, Pari Nizhny Novgorod announced the return of guard Casey Shepherd and on Wednesday he made his season debut against Runa.
Casey had 21 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 1 steal on 6 of 11 from the game (including 3of 5 three-pointers) and 6 of 7 free-throws in 28 minutes.
Shepherd comeback helped Nizhny Novgorod to get the second win in the last 14 games – 67:59.
Shepherd previously played for the Volga team in the 2020/21 season and was one of the team’s leaders. The American guard holds the VTB United League high in points scored in a single quarter (26 in 2020 against Khimki).
