During the 2026–27 season, VTB United League games will be broadcast both online and on TV, including on the national network “Match TV.”
75 VTB United League games will be available on television—the League, Kinopoisk, and Match TV have agreed to a three-way partnership under which regular-season and playoff games will be available to watch on TV. At least 25 games will be included in the broadcast schedule of the national television channel “Match TV.” Information about the broadcasts will be published on the VTB United League’s official website and social media channels, as well as in the “Match TV” program guide.
Sergey Kushchenko, President of the VTB United League:
– It is of fundamental importance for the League to expand basketball’s audience as much as possible and utilize all available distribution channels. Together with our partners, we immediately agreed that TV is a major and important channel that must be preserved. This includes ensuring that the season’s key games and basketball derbies are broadcast on national television. The agreement with Match TV allows us to bring VTB United League basketball to an even wider audience across the country. Our many years of collaboration have shown that the channel is constantly evolving, and we are pleased to continue working together in the new season.
Ilona Korstin, CEO of the VTB United League:
– Extending the agreement with “Match TV” is an important step for the League’s development. “Match TV” is a free-to-air federal channel, and fans have come to expect that the VTB United League’s top games will be available to watch for free. We don’t want to deprive them of this opportunity. Our goal is to increase the reach and expand the audience of the VTB United League.
Another key objective of the League is to promote and develop basketball as a whole. In this sense, the partnership with Kinopoisk and “Match TV” is the optimal model: it combines the reach and free access of federal broadcast television with the capabilities of a modern digital platform.
Together with our partners, we will continue to work on the quality of our broadcasts so that the VTB United League can grow and develop as a world-class TV product.
