Main Story
From the start, both teams played at a relatively slow pace, preferring to attack from set plays. The home team looked better at this pace, playing solid defense and holding their opponents to just 11 points in the quarter. The visitors managed to boost their scoring during the second 10-minute period. Several steals allowed the Army team to go on fast breaks and take the lead. Casper Ware and Melo Trimble also made significant contributions to CSKA’s offense, scoring 28 points between them in the first half, which the Muscovites won 40–33.
After halftime, Krasnoyarsk went on a run and closed in on the visitors. However, Jovica Arsić’s team committed several turnovers, and CSKA pulled away again. CSKA built a double-digit lead during the third quarter and continued to extend their advantage in the final quarter, ultimately securing their fifth win of the season.

Press Conference
Enisey Head Coach Jovica Arsić:
– Congratulations to CSKA on their victory. Today, our opponent showed their class and accomplished their goal. It was an exciting game; we had opportunities to launch quick counterattacks. However, our three-point shooting was poor today. Our opponents deserve credit for that, but we couldn’t even make shots from open positions. When the game shifted to a “five-on-five” format, we struggled: CSKA doesn’t have players who make a lot of mistakes; everyone plays excellent defense. At some point, we lost our focus and started making more mistakes, which led to this result.
CSKA Head Coach Andreas Pistiolis:
– Let me start by thanking our fans who came here to support us. I’d also like to thank the Enisey fans for the great turnout and atmosphere in the arena. For the first time since I’ve been with CSKA, we’ve stayed in Krasnoyarsk for such a long time and had to train here, but I’m pleasantly surprised by the quality of the training facilities in the city. We didn’t play our best in the first quarter, especially on offense. We missed a lot of open shots, including layups, and didn’t get into the game the way we should have. At the same time, I think that defensively, this was our best game of the season. It’s always nice when we manage to keep the opponent from scoring 20 points in any single quarter, especially on the road against such a disciplined team. Today we took a step in the right direction, but we still have many more steps to take to reach our goal.
