VTB United League has concluded its internalMarketing Championship in the 2025/26 season.
This annual initiative brought together League clubs in competition to showcase best practices in promotion, fan engagement at games, the implementation of environmental initiatives, and club brand development.
At the end of the season, BETCITY PARMA emerged as the winner of the Marketing Championship. The battle for first place was extremely close: the Perm team edged out its closest rival by just 1 point.
The final four of the Marketing Championship:
1st place – BETCITY PARMA
2nd place – Zenit
3rd place – Uralmash
4th place – Lokomotiv Kuban
The League also announced the winners in individual categories.
Winner of the Environmental Championship – Uralmash
The competition is held at the initiative of the League’s partner SIBUR.
Winner in Organization of Fan Engagement on Gameday – Uralmash
Ilona Kortsin, VTB United League General Director:
– This season, we saw a significant improvement in marketing and fan engagement.
The Marketing Championship is a separate competition for which the League pays bonuses, and clubs compete seriously both for the reward and for the right to be called the best in marketing.
This season, PARMA, Uralmash, and Zenit were close until the very last game, battling for win in the competition.
In the end, PARMA took the win, becoming the top club in attendance and tickets sold.
I would also like to single out Uralmash, which won the environmental championship organized at the initiative of our partner SIBUR and also won the award for best fan engagement on Gameday.
It is important to note that average attendance at VTB League games has increased. This is the result of the consistent efforts of the clubs and the League itself. We still have room to grow, but we are on the right track.
It is important for the League that, in addition to their athletic goals, the clubs also develop in marketing: creating a quality product for fans, generating revenue from ticket sales, paying attention to environmental issues, and making basketball important and exciting for the cities and regions of the VTB League.
