VTB United League Predisent Sergey Kushchenko attended the Phygital Games of the Future 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
The opening ceremony took place on December 17, and the first Phygital basketball competitions began yesterday. 16 teams from different countries are competing, with Russia represented by 2 teams consisting of Mikhail Panchenko, Mikhail Yudov, Yury Bespalov, Vladislav Meleshkin, Sergey Kozlov, Vadim Danilov, Joshgun Aliev and Semen Debda.

– The Phygital Games of the Future are the development of a brilliant idea that originated in Russia. The project creates completely new formats that correspond to the interests of youth. The opening ceremony was very unusual. But the main thing I noticed compared to the first Games in Kazan in 2024 is that in disciplines where there is both console and real-life competition, gamers have started to help their teams more in the field. This is in line with the original idea.
The Games of the Future are already the second of their kind, and it is gratifying that the idea that came from Russia is developing dynamically, turning into a tradition.
