The game was equal at the start. Terrence Edwards and Malik Newman scored 5 of 6 three-pointers combined. For the hosts, veterans Andrey Zubkov and Evgeny Voronov made shots in the paint. The first half did not reveal a clear leader in either game or score, but the Moscow team had a slight lead – 43:42.
The break did not benefit the opponents, the pace slowed down. In such conditions, experience became decisive. Evgeny Voronov took responsibility at key moments. His fast breaks and three-pointers gave the hosts a double-digit lead in the middle of the final quarter. This lead did not allow MBA-MAI to relax at the end, but it was enough for the win. Avtodor ultimately switched on to individual actions and was unable to put up a real fight.
