Tuesday, August 29 has been named a day of mourning in Yakutia. The city of Mirny and the entire republic are saying goodbye to the miners: Alexey Vlasenko, Dmitry Zhukov, Vitaly Kulikov, Dmitry Marin, Gleb Mirontsev, Valentin Misnik, Mikhail Neustroev and Igor Stepanov.
Entertainment events have been canceled across Yakutia on Tuesday and flags have been lowered.
