The 2017-18 regular season individual awards were announced today at a gala in Moscow.
Khimki star Alexey Shved was named the Scoring Champion. The Russian guard averaged 22.3 points per game, shooting 58.3% from inside the arc and 30.1% from the three-point line.
Kalev guard Isaiah Briscoe picked up Young Player of the Year. The 22-year-old American playmaker averaged 22.0 points, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 30.1 minutes on the court.
Nizhny Novgorod forward Stevan Jelovac took home the Top Performance of the Year award. The Serbian sniper poured in a League-record 49 points vs. Kalev on February 15.
Lokomotiv-Kuban guard Dmitry Kulagin earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. The Russian star joined Krasnodar early in the season, where he quickly became a defensive linchpin.
UNICS guard Jamar Smith was named Sixth Man of the Year. The American guard began the season in the starting lineup, before moving to the bench where he thrived. Smith averaged 14.2 points and 2.3 assists per game.
The award for Best Basketball Show goes to St. Petersburg and the 2018 All-Star Game, which was held at the Yubileyny Sports Palace.
CSKA boss Dimitris Itoudis earned Coach of the Year. The Army Men finished the regular season with a 22-2 record.
Finally, CSKA guard Nando De Colo won the 2017-18 VTB United League MVP. The French playmaker and team leader played in 21 games, helping CSKA clinch the top seed in the postseason. De Colo put up impressive numbers this season, averaging 17 points, 4.1 assists, 1.2 steals, 60.6% from midrange and 49.4% from beyond the arc in 23 minutes on the court.
